This pavilion, officially known as the Sean Tabor Family Retreat, provides a cookout site and shelter for Cub Scout and Boy Scout activities. It was a gift of the Tabor family of Cape Elizabeth, given in memory of their young son, Sean, who passed away while still a Cub Scout.  Sean was a Webelos Scout in Pack 30 in Cape Elizabeth. The family and Pack 30 were responsible for raising the funds and the construction of the pavilion.

The Sean Tabor Family Retreat has been used for the Sunday leader's meeting before summer camp, check-in for Fun Pack Weekend, a classroom during Trail to Eagle weeks.  The Order of the Arrow has used it for ceremonies during inclement weather.  It has been used as the site for vesper services atvarious adult leader training courses.  It is available to Cub Packs, Scout Troops, and other groups for picnics and other unit activities throughout the year.
