Great site that brings back many fond memories of Camp Hinds, especially the special guest appearances of Sha-ha-ha back in the day!

Jinja Rosendahl
my father (Winston Rosendahl) camper in 1927

Hi,
My Dad, Winston Rosendahl, attended Camp Hinds in 1927. He was working on his Leadership badge that year. He remembers a fellow counselor but not his name. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Dad remembers he was from Portland . I am hoping someone has a picture of the campers from 1927 that I could make a copy from or someone remembers the counselor 's name . Any help greatly appreciated. My Dad is 95 this year and has been talking about his time at Camp Hinds quite a bit this year .
thank you for your thoughts.

Still many fond memories of Camp Hinds. I brought my two children (ages 5 and 7) to visit camp this summer. It was great to see them excited about Camp. Hoping they get to experience Camp life first hand in the years to come.

Camp Hinds was the setting for many great experiences. I have never met anyone who did not look fondly on their summers at camp. This site is a wonderful way to remember and acknowledge how much we all love and cherish Camp Hinds and the people who made camp such a wonderful place.

I've enjoyed reviewing the photos and information over the last several years. I appreciate the comments and updates! Steve Trimble and I visited Hinds last year while we were riding in the MS 150 mile bike a thon and had a great walk down memory lane! It was a ball. Hinds and scouting helped point many in the right direction and continue to do the same today.

Stumbled upon this wonderful site, thank you. I have many fond memories of my summers at the camp, the old town wood canvas canoes, swimming, campfires. The only time they had a TV there so we could watch the moon landing. Completed my Order of the Arrow ordeal there in 1970. Too many memories to list. I'm going to go back through my photo albums to see if I have any of my old photos.

My post was misleading. My grandfather was in the house in the fifties and sixties. Later in the seventies I visited the house again. I closed my eyes and it the smells brought back fond memories. I visited the bedroom that I slept in while there. I remember a picture of Queen Elizabeth above one of the beds.
